How it works
Hedbanz is the fun guessing game where a person puts a headband around their head and fastens a card to the headband for everyone else in the game to see. The object of the game is for the person who is wearing the headband to guess what the card is on their head by asking the group questions about that card.
If the person guesses correctly they win that round and each person gets a chance to wear the headband and guess. Now, there is a new kind of Hedbanz game, and the new version is Disney themed. Disney Hedbanz has players guessing what Disney character is on their headband. The rules follow the same rules as the game “What Am I?” and players get about ninety seconds to guess.
The game comes with game chips, playing cards, and question cards to help make this game as enjoyable as possible. With a reasonable price and the promise of hours of fun for the Disney enthusiast, Disney Hedbanz is a great game to buy for family and friends fun.
What Comes With the Game?
Although it may seem as if a lot comes in the box, in reality, you are only using a few of these items at one time, so there are no pieces to lose or dice to go missing as the headbands are really the only item that is in constant play when playing this game.
Set Up
When you have chosen the number of people who are going to play, each person gets a Disney headband, three Mickey Mouse chips, and player mat. The timer is placed in the middle of the table with the deck of character cards and the deck of question cards. Once all of that is set up then game play can begin.
How To Play
The player guessing can pull a card from the question cards as a guide to help them ask important questions that will enable them to figure out who they are. Because there are so many characters to choose from, the player mat that each person is given during setup will allow the person guessing to see all the characters and narrow down their choices faster so they can guess correctly.
The person guessing can ask questions like, “Am I an animal?”, “Am I a toy?”, “Can I fly?” in order to narrow down their choices while they are looking at the character player mat. The person who guesses correctly before time runs out wins their turn and they can then remove one of their Mickey Mouse chips from their pile. The person who guesses three correctly and gets rid of all of their chips wins the game.

Deductive Reasoning Skills
Deductive reasoning is a large part of test-taking and having this skill fine-tuned and sharp will help children become better test-takers, which passing from one grade to the next and many college entrance requirements revolve around being able to pass standardized tests. A sharp reasoning skill will help make test-taking easier for your child and will help them build a better memory and solve problems fast.
Group Play
When kids spend too much time alone, they may not develop the important social skills that are needed to make friends and be socially healthy. Games like Disney Hedbanz help your child to interact socially with other kids and family members face-to-face and not through a screen.
When families play together they get to reinforce the bond of family and build trustworthy relationships with each other. When kids get to be a part of group play with other kids, they get to build friendships and learn social cues and social skills that will help them in class, in school, playing sports, and interacting with kids in other social situations.
A game like Disney Hedbanz also gets kids to talk to each other by asking questions and helping each other along to guess the character correctly and win the game. The game helps promote fair play as well as being a good loser or a great winner.
Age Range
If younger children do want to play the game, playing with a parent or older child who has the ability to help the younger child ask the proper questions may be best to not only keep all the kids involved in the same game, but parents and children can spend more quality time together.
What’s great about this game is that it is cross-generational and any member of the family can play. Parents can play with other adults, children with other children and a mix of both groups as the level of expertise between parent and child is the same as long as everyone knows who all of the characters are.
Expertise Level
As a matter of fact, many children may have a higher level of expertise than most of the adults making this game a confidence booster for even the youngest of players. This game is one of those rare games where parents and children can play on the same level and there is no advantage of one over the other.
