Design
The Gender Prediction Test is designed to look like a real medical test. The test is quite simple and comes with only two parts. The two parts are a syringe and a test tube. The only other thing that comes in the box is the page with the directions on them, and the directions are pretty straightforward and easy to follow. The syringe looks like a regular medical syringe and the
tube is also a pretty standard tube. Both of the items give the feel that you are taking an actual test. The bottom of the tube is lined with a powder that will change
colors based on what color the urine turns indicating the potential sex of your baby. Some have found that the cap is really tight and hard to remove, but once you remove it it’s easy to put back on, but it doesn’t always go back on tight so be prepared for some of the urine to splash out a bit. In all, it has the feel of performing a real medical test.
The Directions
The directions of the gender reveal test are simple. There are really only four things you have to do in order to perform the test correctly.
One: Pee into a cup and collect a sample of your urine. Once you do that, you will take the syringe and fill it up with five milliliters of your urine. Be careful as the syringe can be difficult to use and you will have to pull hard on the syringe. In doing so, ensure that you don’t knock over the
cup of urine because then you will have to not only clean up the mess, but you will also have to provide a new sample.
Two: Once the syringes if filled up with five milliliters of urine, you will then transfer the sample to the test tube. All you have to do is take the syringe and gently place it in the tube and push down on the plunger to release your urine sample into the tube. Once the sample is in, the urine may start to turn colors almost immediately. Put the cap on the tube.
Three: Once the cap is back on the tube, shake for twenty seconds. Shake vigorously so that the powder that is in the bottom of the tube will dissolve completely. Once it’s completely dissolved, stop shaking and make sure that none of the urine splashed out of the tube.
Four: Once the solution has settled down, you can then compare the color of the solution to the color chart. If your solution is blue then you will be having a boy. If your solution is green then you will be having a girl. Some have gotten a mixed color result, which leads you to believe that an accurate
reading was not available with the sample you provided. Once again, this test is simply for fun and an entertaining way to be fully involved with your pregnancy.
Gender Reveal Parties
The Gender Prediction Test is the perfect “game” to play at a gender reveal party. Since you will have already had an expert and medically supervised gender test via ultrasound, the results of the Gender Prediction Test are irrelevant and a fun way to see how accurate the test works. Before popping that
balloon to see what the baby’s sex is or cutting open the
cake to see if it’s pink or blue, you can gather everyone around for the prediction test and see if the test will reveal a boy in your future or a girl. Once you find out the actual gender of your baby based on the medical test performed by your doctor, then you can compare and see how accurate your original results were via the Gender Prediction Test. The test is a fun addition to all the other prediction games you will have at your gender reveal party.
For Entertainment Value Only
Once again, the Gender Prediction Test does not in any way claim to be 100% accurate or accurate at all. It is stated several times on the packaging that the test is for entertainment value only. With that said, the test results are not meant to be taken seriously, but instead, are meant to be part of a nice
game you can play as you try and figure out the gender of your baby. Whether the results reveal that your baby is a boy or girl does not mean you should rush out and tell everyone what the sex of your baby is, and you should not rush out and start to buy clothes or decorations for the
nursery based on the test results.
Gender Neutral
The best advice for expecting parents when it comes to decorating or buying toys and clothes for their child is to always go with gender neutral. Even sonograms can be wrong. Although in today’s modern world sonograms are now three dimensional and you can clearly see a baby’s gender on the screen, it is still recommended to go neutral. Buying clothes that are unisex or choosing colors that are neither pink or blue or specific to one gender or another is a great route to go especially if you are planning on having more children. If you paint everything pink and your next child turns out to be a boy, you will have the task of having to start all over again, whereas if you keep things neutral you will get a longer lifespan out of the clothes,
furniture, and toys that you buy.
Of course, once your child is born and their gender is completely clear, it is always great to buy gender specific toys based on their sex. As they grow older, of course, their tastes will be unique, but in the beginning, it’s fun to play with certain toys and dress your child in certain clothes specific to their gender when they are babies.
Complaints
There have been a few consistent complaints with the Gender Predictions Test, and most of the complaints are formed from expecting parents who seem to not realize that the test is just for fun and not to be taken to heart. Some of the consistent complaints were that every time the test was taken the same result came out. One parent said that they took the test twice, both times it indicated a girl and in fact, their child was a boy. With that, parents have said that the urine changes color almost immediately and it seems that the tests are predetermined to turn a certain color regardless of the true sex of the baby. This has not been proven, but it could be likely considering the test is supposed to be for fun and part of party games. Other parents have said the
test worked very well and their results were accurate. Once again, the test is simply for fun.
When to Take the Test
For those parents who have taken the test multiple times, it has been found that the best time to take the test is starting at five weeks. Some expecting parents had an experience where five weeks was too early and they received an inconclusive result. These parents tried again later on in the pregnancy somewhere around twelve weeks and the test turned one color or another much quicker and more accurately. With that, even though the test can be taken as early as five weeks, if you want to have a clear result as to whether the solution is a full blue or a full green, you may want to wait until later in the pregnancy before taking the test. Medically performed professional gender tests are not conducted until the twelfth week of pregnancy, so to know what the baby’s sex is at five weeks seems medically impossible. A fun time to take the test is when you are about to find out the sex of your baby and see if the results match. Once again, only your doctor with the proper blood tests and ultrasound tests can fully determine what the sex of your baby is, and sometimes, that cannot be revealed during an ultrasound if your baby has their
legs crossed. The only true way of determining your baby’s sex is looking when they are born.
Accuracy
The Gender Prediction Test is not accurate and does not claim to be so. It is stated in all of their literature and on their packaging that the test results are not based on any true factors as to what sex your child is. The test is a urine-based test that has been compared to other home tests like the
baking soda test to determine your child’s sex. Because it is a urine-based test, the results will be inaccurate because the test your doctor would perform on you is a blood-based test, which gives a more clear picture although the blood test is also not as accurate as you would think.
Some parents have had the experience that the color of the solution did not change or the colors were mixed, and this because the test is not medically approved. It is just an entertaining way to try and connect more with your baby as you find out if it’s a boy or a girl.
Price
The price of the Gender Prediction Test is quite low and can be purchased online. Once again, it should be remembered that any test that is available over the internet may not be the best predictor of any kind especially when the test is priced so low. Normal medical tests cost way more money and are still not as accurate, so when purchasing this product remember that you get what you pay for and the low price indicates a low prediction rate. This type of test should be looked at as more of a game than an actual test. Because of the low price, it may be a fun idea to buy a bunch of them and if you have friends who are also pregnant you can have a fun “what’s my baby’s gender” party. The low price also means you can buy more than one and
track the results throughout your pregnancy to see if they remain the same.
Conclusion
The Gender Prediction Test is a fun way to try and figure out the sex of your baby. The test is in a long line of methods women and men have used over the years to determine the sex of an unborn child. Many people go by the shape of the
stomach, other people dangle a ring over the belly, other people look at the mother’s face and see if it’s changed in any way, but whatever method your family has used over the years, the Gender Prediction Test can be a new and fun way to see what sex your child could be, but at the end of the day you will love your child no matter what their sex is, so don’t take the test too seriously, just have fun.
