How it works
Stokke has long been known for providing baby furniture like stokke tripp trapp high chair, that is durable and handcrafted, which happens to come with a hefty price tag. For over five decades, parents have continued to rely on Stokke because the c ompany’s furniture is of high-quality.
One of the most sought after pieces of furniture is the Sleepi Crib, which has a design that is all its own that has been appealing to many parents, however, for as much praise as the crib gets it also has caused a few concerns for some parents. Although the crib is unique in design and can last your child up to ten years because of its ability to convert, the Stokke Sleepi Crib should be considered by all parents, but it must be considered if it’s worth it for you to buy.
Design
The oval shape also allows for the baby crib to easily fit through any doorway in the home, therefore, you can move the crib and put the crib anywhere you see fit in your home by simply bringing it from room to room. It is also quite easy to move the crib from room to room because this is also a portable crib that comes on wheels. The wheels make it extremely easy to push the crib into the living room if you want to put your baby to sleep while you are relaxing, or you can push the crib into your own room if you want to keep your child near while they fall asleep and then after they fall asleep you can put them back into the nursery where they can stay asleep in their own space.
The crib is made entirely of wood and is held together by ordinary screws and bolts. Th crib mattress lays on a three-piece board system that has holes in it to promote proper air circulation through the mattress and through the crib. The crib can also be adjusted so that you can lower the mattress to make the bars higher and you can eventually open up one side of the crib so that your child can use the crib as a play area where they can walk into and out of the crib at their leisure. One of the concerns that some parents have about the crib is that children’s legs and arms have been caught in between the bars of the crib. There is enough space between each bar to create this hazard. Parents have not reported any serious injuries or harmful occurrences to their children, but it is something that should be noted when you purchase the crib.
Assembly Required
Altogether, the crib will weigh about fifty pounds and you will have to flip the crib upside down to attach the wheels then flip the crib right side up when you are finished. You will need normal house tools to tighten and attach the screws and bolts. The entire assembly should not take more than thirty minutes and it appears to be a one-person job but always easier with two people.
One of the concerns that some parents have had is that the bolts do come loose over time. One parent reported that when they contacted the manufacturer about the loosening of the bolts, it was recommended to keep an eye out for the loose bolts so that they don’t fall into the crib and to tighten everything over time. Another parental concern was that the bottom of the crib where the mattress lays is kept up by “L” brackets and that if one of them comes loose, the mattress may collapse into the crib, especially if your child is heavy and stands up in the crib and jumps. There have not been any reports of this happening, but it is always wise for parents to keep in mind any safety hazards when they are purchasing furniture for their children.
Mattress Not Included
The crib is in an oval shape, so only the oval mattress can be purchased for this crib. That leads to another cost for Mom and Dad and that is that you will also have to purchase specific sheets for the crib. Just like the mattress, you can only buy the sheets from Stokke because the mattress is oval and only Stokke makes the oval-shaped sheets that can fit the mattress. The mattress is made of foam. There are no springs or anything else in the mattress that provides any additional comfort for your baby.
The mattress will be covered by a somewhat plush mattress cover that zips around the mattress so it can be taken on and off as you wish. The cover has a mesh bottom so that there is breathability in the mattress and air can flow through the holes in the crib bottom through the mattress to give your baby the best airflow possible. As always, it is always recommended to keep your child in a completely clutter-free crib while they sleep in order to prevent the lack of oxygen from flowing into and out of the crib.

Cleaning the Crib
If you want to clean the mattress cover, all you must do is unzip the mattress cover from the mattress and place it into your washing machine with any other baby bedding you are washing. It is recommended to never dry the mattress cover in the dryer as it may shrink the cover and then it won’t fit on the mattress anymore. When the mattress cover is done being washed, you can line dry the cover so that it remains intact and in good condition.

Price
It should be kept in mind that you will have to buy everything at once, so if this is a crib that you want to have for your child then you must have it in your budget to afford everything. Many parents have been happy with their purchase as they feel their money was spent well because of the high quality of the furniture, while other parents felt the price was too high for a piece of furniture that their child is unaware even exists. Your needs should be fully considered before making the purchase of this crib.
