Lego Duplo Superheroes Batman Adventure Review

The Lego Duplo Batman building set poses an extreme choking hazard as it comes with 47 pieces that are relatively small. It is recommended that children do not play with the set alone but always have parental supervision. The Lego pieces are small and it is recommended that children under the age of two do not play with the set at all as they are still prone to putting toys into their mouths.

Some parents have found it helpful to not have any child under the age of three play with the set just to be on the safe side since most children have grown out of the “toy-in-mouth” phase by this time. When the box is opened and the pieces are taken out, there are also smaller plastic bags that the pieces come in, which also poses another choking hazard, so it is advised that parents open the set and put the pieces out for the child to begin playing with while the parent watches on and helps their child build the set and ensure they are playing safely.

The Lego Duplo Batman building set comes with 47 pieces with a blue base that represents the water of the Gotham City River. The base is what the rest of the set is built upon. All these movements happen by your child moving the pieces themselves as nothing in this set moves on its own.

The set comes with the traditional Lego Duplo figurines. The figurines resemble the original Lego figurines that are small and have yellow faces and hands. The Duplo figurines are a bit more advanced in that although the facial expressions are the same as the original Lego figurines, the skin tone is flesh-colored and the figurines have hair and costumes indicative of the superheroes they are portraying. The two pieces are the boat itself and the second piece is the “steering gear” piece that fits perfectly inside of the boat.

Once the steering gear piece is inserted into the boat, then Batman’s curved Duplo hands can be connected to the piece so that he can be moved easily in the boat without falling out of it. Wonder Woman’s motorbike follows a similar design with her signature “W” logo in colors that match her traditional Wonder Woman outfit. Her curved hands are placed onto the handlebars of the bike, while her feet are clipped into the base of the bike so that she remains connected to it as she rides along the bridge.
