Goal
The goal of Bounce-Off is so simple, all you have to do is pick a card and then match the design by bouncing a ball into the slots on the board. The first color team to finish a design is the winner of that card. The color team to earn 3 cards first is the winner of the game!
Setup
Getting ready to play this game is such a breeze, just set the game board on a surface where all the players can easily reach it. Then the players or the teams choose 8 of the color-coded balls and sets them down in the matching holders. Next just choose either the blue cards which represent harder patterns or the green cards which represent the easier patterns, or you could even shuffle all of the cards and let it be a randomized selection. Once you have selected your deck just turn one card right side up on the surface and choose your style of play. You could play turn style, in which one person bounces only one ball per turn or you could play free for all, in which all the players bounce in the balls in a frenzy.
Rules
There are still a few simple rules to this wacky game: the ball you are tossing has to bounce on the surface a minimum of one time before it lands on the board, every person playing takes their round going clockwise unless you are playing free for all, and lastly if you have thrown all your balls but still haven’t made a match you have to take a ball off the board and bounce it again.

Bounce-Off comes with 16 small and lightweight plastic balls 8 of which are blue and 8 of which are green, 4 color coordinated holders for the balls, 9 challenge cards some of which are blue or the harder ones and some of which are green or the easier ones, and a 6x6 game board with small plastic pegs to keep your balls in place when they land, and of course a nice sized cardboard box with beautiful, vibrant colors on the outside to keep all of your pieces nicely together so you can always find your game.

Bounce-off is going to last you such a long time and give you so many wacky, crazy, and fun memories all because it is a durable and long-lasting game. All of the game pieces except for the cards are made out of light-weight plastic which makes them easy to clean and hard to destroy and gentle if someone bounces out of control. The plastic is slightly thicker than a ping-pong ball. The challenge cards are made out of a light cardboard material, so they are still long-lasting, but they are subject to being bent or torn if you’re not careful. The actual box is made out of heavier duty cardboard to keep all the game pieces inside safe and clean and ready for the next time you want to play!

Mattel’s recommended age group is from 7-15 years of age; however, this game could easily be enjoyed by adults who like a head to head competitive, fast-paced, crazy fun game. This game is also so easy to understand that children a little younger than 7 could definitely play this game with a little bit of help and guidance from an adult. It can be difficult to find games that younger children and adults can really enjoy together because of the gap in understand and reasoning skills; however, Bounce-Off is so simple and requires very basic understanding that it really is the perfect family game because everyone can play without feeling like things need to be changed to suit the smaller kids. This game is not recommended for children younger than 3 however, because the balls are small enough to be swallowed and could lead to choking or suffocation. Always read the instructions before using with children!
